I've just stepped out of the full-day Accelerate AI with Cloud Run workshop at Google for Startups in Warsaw. Over the course of a single day, participants built and deployed multi-component AI agents on production-grade infrastructure — secure MCP servers, intelligent agent logic, GPU-accelerated inference, and serverless deployment — from scratch.

The London Agentic AI Meetup drew over 1,200 registrations for 150 seats. The demand wasn't driven by hype — it was driven by a question most teams are getting wrong. Here's what the evening revealed about agentic coding in practice.

My thesis is simple: Generative AI is a powerful accelerator for boring, repetitive tasks across the product lifecycle. The real value appears only when we stop treating AI as magic and start treating it as a tool. Not an autopilot. A turbocharger.
